Take me out to the ball game....

We took Brett and Emma to their first baseball game last night!! They had such a good time, even though the stinkin' Yankees are in town. And we had great seats - thanks Susan and Bert!

Brett and Emma got a cool little gift from the Rays...

And then Brett passed out from all the excitement :)

Brett catching some ZzzzZzzzZzz on daddy!

I was so excited that Tropicana Field now has a GLUTEN FREE concession stand! It is all the way in center field but that didn't stop me from getting a hot dog - on a bun! And some pear cider to go with it...delicious!

Even though the Rays lost, we still had such a great time :)

GOOOO RAYS!!!

Splish, Splash!

One of my favorite times of the day is bath time. Sometimes the babies take a bath in their Bumbos. I like this because they can sit up and we can sort of "play" and have a longer bath time.

Brett and Emma had a nice long bath tonight...and they were quite the characters.

"Hey Brett! Hey Emma!"

"Emma, I have a secret."

"Mom, do you hear what he said?"

"Emma, let me check to see if you have any teeth."

"Say ahhhhhh"

"OK, Brett. Let me check yours now."

"Oh, look! We have feet, too."

And then they went to sleep...

They are so peaceful when they sleep. You wouldn't even know how hectic the day has been when you look at them in their cribs, sleeping so comfy on their tummies!

Everybody's lookin' forward to the weekend...

𝄞 It's Friday, Friday, gotta get down on Friday! 𝄞

Haha, that song never gets old :)

The weekend is finally here and we are busy as can be!! Brian works all day and night Saturday...which means I get to do the bedtime routine by myself tomorrow. Not my favorite thing but I have been spoiled since hockey season has been over - oh well I can handle it.

Brian worked late tonight but he stopped and picked up my favorite sushi, so that made me happy! He also got a new video game today so he is relaxing with some NCAA Football 2012 before his loooong day tomorrow.

Brian's Aunt Julie and Uncle Stu from California are visiting so we are seeing them on Sunday and taking Brett and Emma to their first Rays game with them on Monday night!

Sunday morning is Kristina's baby shower. Lauren and I are hosting a brunch for her in Tampa and it is going to be so fun. Here is a fantastic picture of Kristina, taken by Junie! (I'm lucky to have great friends who know their way around a camera!)

Baby boy Jaxon is scheduled for eviction on August 2nd.

In my spare time (ha!) I am trying to put together a gallery wall for the hallway. So I'm trying to sort through hundreds of photos, order prints, frames, etc. and I came across this picture of Emma today and I love it...

Look at her bed head. Even babies can have a bad hair day :)

Another favorite I found...

Let ME hold it, mommy!

And then there is Brett....who is trying to go, go, go!!

He started here....

And suddenly was here...
Not crawling yet, but figuring out how to wiggle around.

Things are moving quick...too quick for me! Only a few more weeks of Summer. An extremely depressing thought. Although I LOVE Fall. Just two weeks after school starts I can beat the blues with my favorite treat.

At least I have this to look forward to!
That's all for now...I need to rest up for the gym in the morning. My trainer has been kicking my butt all week. I think my body thinks I am still on vacation!! I have to get out of this funk - only 16 lbs to go!

~Jessica~

PS - Is that song stuck in your head now??

Kickin' in the front seat
Sittin' in the back seat
Gotta make my mind up
Which seat can I take?

It's Friday, Friday
Gotta get down on Friday
Everybody's lookin' forward to the weekend, weekend
Friday, Friday
Gettin' down on Friday
Everybody's lookin' forward to the weekend

A pretty cool invention...

Munchkin Fresh Food Feeders

Has anyone heard of the Munchkin Fresh Food Feeder? I heard about these from Malia and picked a couple up at Target a little while ago. Brett and Emma love them! They are these cool little mesh bags that you put food into. The bag snaps shut and babies cannot get them open. Heck, I could barely get them open :) But you put food or ice in the bag and then snap it shut and let them go at it.

Yummmy!

More, please!

Sometimes when I am cooking dinner or doing dishes, I put Brett and Emma in their high chairs to hang out with me in the kitchen. And to help keep them entertained I pop some banana into their food feeders and they are in heaven. Brett usually sucks his dry in just a few minutes and is crying for more! He can be pretty demanding when hungry.

There is all kinds of fun stuff out there that I know my mom didn't have! I am sure in a year I will be seeing some baby items that are brand new to me. It is pretty crazy. What will they think of next???

First 4th of July!

< I am attempting to catch up on some missed blog entries. >

Here are some pictures of B&E in their red, white, and blue! Celebrating the 4th of July :)

Oh, Brett! This picture cracks me up!

She loves clasping her hands together!

Trying to figure out what is on their feet!

Brett and Emma's first vacation!

Two weeks ago we took Brett and Emma on a trip to Jacksonville, FL to go to my good friend Katie's wedding. Katie and I were in the Special Education Master's Degree program together at FSU. Her wedding was a lot of fun! It was great to see some of my best friends from college. We stayed the weekend at a Marriott in Orange Park. The hotel had pack and plays for us to use and the babies slept great in them. But of course we snuggled with them in our bed before it was time to get ready for the day.

So cute!!
We got up early Saturday morning and went to breakfast at Denny's. We sat at a table right next to another set of twins! They were ten months old, a boy and a girl :)

Then we headed back to the hotel to get ready for the wedding. It was a beautiful ceremony in a Catholic Church. Next was the reception....which was wonderful! The coolest thing ever was a Cold Stone Ice Cream bar!! Amazing!

Katie was a beautiful bride. I have to upload my camera pictures but here is a quick one I snapped on my iphone.

The groomsmen changed into these cool jerseys for the reception.

Brett and Emma were sure to be dressed appropriately :)
My little man

Princess in the making

On the way home Sunday morning I asked Brian if we could stop in historic St. Augustine. There is so much to see there and I thought it would be fun to walk around with the stroller and spend the day sightseeing before we headed home. When we were passing the exit I got excited so Brian agreed and we were headed on a little adventure. The first thing we saw were the Outlet Malls so we decided to pit stop there since Brett was crying and needed a diaper change anyway. We ended up staying at the mall all afternoon and never made it into St. Augustine. Oh well, maybe next time. We got Brett and Emma all kinds of cool clothes at Carter's, Gymboree, and Nike outlets.

It was a fantastic trip. I loved taking Brett and Emma on their first vacation! I packed everything they needed (and more) and was sure to be prepared for anything. I did forget their bibs, though. And that made for some very messy carrot eating!!! But a great time, nonetheless!

Home from vacation! (almost)

( Hmmm for some reason this didn't post from my iphone. I wrote it Sunday afternoon on our way home from the port. )

Brian and I are on our way home from our vacation. We took a 3 night cruise on the Carnival Sensation. We had such an amazing time! Our good friends Adam and Marissa were able to join us, it was so much fun! There was a LOT of sleeping :) But we missed Brett and Emma so much! I can't wait to see them very soon. They stayed with Susan, Bert, and Heather. Heather sent some great pictures to hold us over for the weekend. Thanks, Aunt Heather!!
