Brett and Emma's first vacation!

Two weeks ago we took Brett and Emma on a trip to Jacksonville, FL to go to my good friend Katie's wedding. Katie and I were in the Special Education Master's Degree program together at FSU. Her wedding was a lot of fun! It was great to see some of my best friends from college. We stayed the weekend at a Marriott in Orange Park. The hotel had pack and plays for us to use and the babies slept great in them. But of course we snuggled with them in our bed before it was time to get ready for the day.

So cute!!
We got up early Saturday morning and went to breakfast at Denny's. We sat at a table right next to another set of twins! They were ten months old, a boy and a girl :)

Then we headed back to the hotel to get ready for the wedding. It was a beautiful ceremony in a Catholic Church. Next was the reception....which was wonderful! The coolest thing ever was a Cold Stone Ice Cream bar!! Amazing!

Katie was a beautiful bride. I have to upload my camera pictures but here is a quick one I snapped on my iphone.

The groomsmen changed into these cool jerseys for the reception.

Brett and Emma were sure to be dressed appropriately :)
My little man

Princess in the making

On the way home Sunday morning I asked Brian if we could stop in historic St. Augustine. There is so much to see there and I thought it would be fun to walk around with the stroller and spend the day sightseeing before we headed home. When we were passing the exit I got excited so Brian agreed and we were headed on a little adventure. The first thing we saw were the Outlet Malls so we decided to pit stop there since Brett was crying and needed a diaper change anyway. We ended up staying at the mall all afternoon and never made it into St. Augustine. Oh well, maybe next time. We got Brett and Emma all kinds of cool clothes at Carter's, Gymboree, and Nike outlets.

It was a fantastic trip. I loved taking Brett and Emma on their first vacation! I packed everything they needed (and more) and was sure to be prepared for anything. I did forget their bibs, though. And that made for some very messy carrot eating!!! But a great time, nonetheless!
